This area is a haven- wildlife/outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for walks, fishing, birdwatching & mountain biking. Visit Cwm Rhaeadr Forest/Lyn Brianne Dam/Reservoir/Y Bannau Brycheiniog park & iconic Pen Y Fan.

Shepherd's Hut, Off-Grid, Hot Tub and Beacons View

A 'Tiny House', off-grid Shepherd's Hut with panoramic views of the spectacular Brecon Beacons. Accessed by its own gated lane and set in a private paddock, "Oliveduck Hut" is the perfect retreat for couples, or singles who prefer their own company. An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

It is perfectly located for walkers, cyclists, naturalists and stargazers!

Set within an acre of secluded gardens, Penroc Barn sits in the beautiful Welsh countryside just outside the market town of Llandovery. It dates from the sixteenth century and is a self-contained part of a larger property where the owner lives. It has been uniquely and sympathetically converted to retain its true character and highlight the beautiful old beams. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families & kids, and furry friends (Two well-behaved pets only).

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Cwmgwn Farm is located in the beautiful countryside of Llandovery on a working stock farm. The self-contained apartment with two bedrooms overlooks the meandering River Towy. Guests can enjoy the unspoilt views from their private garden and from the kitchen/living area inside. The luxurious hot tub is under cover and boasts a window which guests can admire the amazing stars through at night. Guests can walk to the river and picnic.

Have a good night's sleep in a king size sleigh bed within a dark sky zone. 2nd bedroom is available. Enjoy the pub pool table and dartboard in the summer house (but beware it's 'al fresco!'). Table tennis is in the garden in the summer. The apartment really 'gives you a hug - or a 'cwtsch' as we say in Wales.

Step aboard The Toad, a beautifully restored 1921 GWR brake van (AKA Toad Wagon), once a vital part of post-war goods trains. Weighing 20 tons and brimming with original rustic features, this historic wagon offers characterful self-catering accommodation with a touch of luxury. Enjoy your own private en-suite with hot shower, wood-fired hot tub, and peaceful soundtrack of birdsong and country life. The Toad makes a fantastic all-year-round base to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

Lovely old cottage, great for a relaxing get away with family or friends. Ideal quiet location on the edge of Llansadwrn village with the local friendly pub within walking distance. With the Brecon Beacons on your doorstep there is plenty to do including lots of gardens, castles and mountains to visit. A car is ideal to get around although there is a local bus stop close to the house with a service bus travelling to llandeilo or Llandovery. The nearest railway station is Llangadog.

Great for bird watching, hill walking, cycling, swimming, or just relaxing. Enjoy the scenery from the garden with your morning cuppa. Pod is located in a field on a working farm, where animals can be seen from the comfort of your bed. No tv as the peacefulness of the towy valley is enough. The river cothi runs through the field and offers beautiful walks. Portable DVD player and a selection of dvds available. Wood fired hot tub. Tea, coffee and milk provided.
