With its amenable climate and varied terrain is sure to please all walking enthusiasts. Only 10km away at Cap d’agde, Marseillan, Vias and Sète are the beautiful long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. Equally enjoyable and interesting walks can be enjoyed in the historic villages and Ports of the region, especially after night fall. Port du Cap d’agde, Port du Sete, Port de Bouzigues, Port de Marseillan The close proximity of the canal du midi and l’herault to the chateau provides a tranquil place to enjoy a walk. Festival and Entertainment Lovers Very close lies the historic 17th century market town of Pezenas, where Moliere played for the Prince De Conti. It offers a multitude of events, expositions, concerns and plays. It is also well known for its antique shops and markets. Only 25 minutes away is Montpellier nicknamed ‘la surdouee’ the gifted. It is a vibrant town with numerous walks, old town and an abundance of festivals. Sete and it’s famous theater also offers events all year long. Food and Drink Lovers The region offers many interesting regional products for your tasting pleasure. Discover the ‘figues becos’ a type of fig from Nezignan Leveque, Le Petit pate de Pezenas. Fish and seafood and of course wine as the region is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. We have selected a range of regional produce from the surrounding villages, (no more than 7km from the chateau) which you can purchase in the chateau’s little shop. La Chataigne - family friendly gite with pool

Les Coumayres consists of four unique, newly renovated gites. La Chataigne is at the front of the house with one more gite and the owners home. Behind the house are two larger gites. We also have a Glamping site with two unique domes, located a couple of minutes walk. Relax by the heated pool whilst your children play in the pool, play ping pong or have fun in the playground. There is plenty of space for everyone and each gite has their own private terrace with outdoor sofa and dining for four.

Chic Southern French Retreat, Pool, Views, Nature

L'Annexe is a comfortable, cosy and romantic cottage situated on the edge of the scenic village of Mons, right on a walking trail that leads to the Gorges d'Héric or up the Caroux mountain. It's 10 minute walk down to heart of the village where there are several restaurants, a café, a grocery store, tourism office and a weekly market. From the Kitchen-living space you have direct access to the paved patio under the vines and kiwi tree. The shared, unheated pool is open from April till October.

Bienvenue dans notre lodge Hautbois, cocon chaleureux niché dans un hameau à 550 m d’altitude, au cœur de la forêt, dans le Sidobre (Tarn) à 1H30 de Toulouse, Béziers ou Carcassonne. Pour se réveiller au son de la nature, le café du matin sur la terrasse sur pilotis, filet de lecture, randos au départ du gîte : entre Haut-Languedoc, Montagne Noire et Monts de Lacaune, pour se reconnecter à l’essentiel, en douceur.

Le salagou / sauna

A 2km du lac du Salagou, au centre du petit hameau le Mas Audran, maison en pierres de pays récemment rénovée. Hameau paisible sans voiture en flanc de montagne protégé du vent du nord d'ou son micro climat au milieu des agaves et orangers, vous pourrez partir au lac à pieds en 15 min par la route ou bien par un sentier pour rejoindre la côte sauvage du Lac du Salagou. La ruffe, (sable rouge) paysages typique du Salagou vous émerveillera en toutes saisons.

The village itself is quite remote, being 30 minutes by car from the nearest grocery shops. Our guests enjoy the tranquility of village life and the beautiful scenery. La gargouille des corbières Cuve à vin habitable

La gargouille est un gîte insolite, rénové dans une ancienne petite cave viticole au beau milieu des Corbières à l'extrémité d'un vieux village de 30 habitants; en pleine nature sur 5000 m² de terrain exposé sud donnant sur la garrigue d'où partent de nombreux sentiers de randonnées. La bâtisse est composée d'une ancienne cave viticole et d'une ancienne bergerie habité par les propriétaires. Les deux parties sont complètement indépendantes.

Gite 10km from Carcassonne in the Montagne Noire

The gite adjoins our house and is situated in a green setting at the foot of the Montagne Noire, just outside a pretty Cathar village. In addition to a large landscaped garden, there is a secure parking space. This 35m2 gîte comprises a lounge, kitchen, shower room and bedroom. The flat has its own entrance leading onto a covered terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. The gîte stays cool in summer thanks to the vegetation.
