What a fantastic stay we had! Lee was super helpful and patient when we needed to adjust the dates of our stay not once, but twice. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well-equipped with everything we needed for self catering. It was great to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The projector in the lounge was a fabulous, fun addition (my 10 year old watched a lot of YouTube on it...) and it was great to have a regular TV in the kitchen too. Of course, the highlight for us was the hot tub and swim spa -- absolutely outstanding, lovely and warm on arrival (and again, spotlessly clean). Our kids are 12 and 10 and LOVED the swim spa pool. The hot tub is incredible, and my husband and I enjoyed that as the sun was setting (the lights around the garden fence are lovely). The variety of bubble/jet settings were great. Having Lidl, Aldi, and Iceland a 3 minute walk away was very handy, and the big Morrisons is just a few minutes' drive.

Lovely, cozy little place in a nice, peaceful location with convenient walking access to Whitby via the Cinder Trail, and a very short drive from local Supermarket. We appreciated the pool. We also enjoyed ducks wandering around the site, and hearing the hoot of an owl in the evening.

We had a magical stay at Apple Cottage. The garden, glass house, chickens and ducks were a cottage life fantasy, we did not want to leave! The pool was amazing. The local area was pretty and we would definitely recommend a trip to Thornton-Le-Dale.

Lovely house, parking right outside, nice quiet location, house clean and tidy with lots of little things like tea and coffee available. The furniture was comfortable and good Freesat tv. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and equipment you could need. The bedrooms were light, airy and comfortable with nice bed linen. The bathroom was adequate but the shower let it down slightly, although it was usable it was a bit tight for anyone tall. I can’t see how any improvement can be made as the bathroom is quite compact, this issue by no means detracts from the overall high standard of the house. Outside the house overlooks the river with nice lawns, a picnic bench and communal barbecue. Just over the river lies the railway line, you can hardly hear the trains but get to watch the steam trains going past. The road is a dead end with no passing traffic other than other residents so very quiet. All in all ‘top notch’.

Overall our stay at Silton Hall was amazing , the place is absolutely huge! We were a party of 12 and didn’t use half of the downstairs rooms!, the pool was fab and was a lovely temperature , the grounds are stunning and well maintained. I wouldn’t hesitate at returning , and would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful house!! EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for a few days away! We had 4 generations there to celebrate my 60th birthday and everything was perfect!! We’ve only been left a few hours and the grandchildren are asking when can we go again?? We would all love to return in the future!!

Spotlessly clean property. Joan was a very responsive and friendly host. Tea, milk, biscuits and coffee were provided. Plenty of hot water. The neighbourhood was very quiet which allowed us to have a peaceful stay.

Had a lovely stay at Roberts place. It was spotless throughout and had a really cozy modern feel. Really comfortable furniture and beds. Had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Cheers again Jonny

Thanks to Sarah for letting us stay. The place is so convenient for the beach and it was such a treat to have a house to retreat back to. Great communication from the host (we needed assistance working the heating). We hope to come back again!

Lorna's place provided a great base for our week in Whitby. Right next to the viaduct with Whitby just a 15/20 minute walk away. Great views of the Abbey and the Esk valley. Lorna was responsive and pro active in communication and answered any questions we had.

Was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the area was and only 5 minutes walk to a little shop. Matthew was a great host and very helpful. The house was roomy and everything you could need was provided, lovely white fluffy towels were an unexpected bonus and appreciated. The hosts have really thought about their guests and have done their best for a very reasonable cost to make a pleasant stay.

Had a great stay here, premises were well maintained and cleaned. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Hot tub worked as it should and host was very communicative. Has local shops and bar and takeaway. Couldn’t recommend Kristy’s place enough. One thing I will note is if you have number 5 and wish to use the hot tub…. Take some sliders as crossing the gravel in barefoot is not for the faint hearted. Not a big gripe and wouldn’t put me off staying again. Thoroughly enjoyed my time in such a lovely property. Adham’s property was perfect for the one night we spent in Durham. Really easy to access the city, easy to find and great communication from Adham. Thank you - we’ll be back

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings the sea can be seen from the front windows and only a few mins walk to the beach and local bars. Michael was responsive and always helpful. The property is big and has all you’ll need for an home from home experience. We are already looking at a return same time next year 👍🏻👍🏻

Lovely cottage with gorgeous (dog friendly, secure) garden in a peaceful area. Cottage was extremely clean and the kitchen, whilst we didn’t cook, looked well catered for. Lovely dog friendly pub a few minutes walk away, which was very welcoming and lovely food. We look forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

Louise and Andy have provided a lovely place to stay in a very peaceful location. My friend and I were in Stockton for a blues festival at the arts centre. I also stayed at their place last year when down for the same event. It is just perfect, with a short along the river into the town centre. If the festival returns to Stockton next year I will definitely try to book again. Thanks guys all your hard work is much appreciated!

We stayed at Virginia House as it was close to a local wedding venue. The house was lovely, very homely, modern but with lots of character and very well appointed with everything we could have possibly wanted. It was perfect for our adult family getting ready for the wedding and relaxing the day after. We had a refreshing walk and then a delicious meal at the local pub and the locals were all very friendly. We would all recommend Karen’s property and would love to stay again.

Great spot in very central location. Comfortable bed and bathroom was pristine. Would definitely stay here again.
