With no weed-killer used on the property, there is plenty of insect and bird life. In the autumn there are beautiful organic apples in the orchard. We suggest you slow down. Relax. Head to the beach with your towel, or turn right out of the gate and walk, with beautiful views of Kells and Dingle Bay. For golfers, Dooks and Waterville are both half an hour away.

The Boathouse - A retreat by the sea

A secluded retreat by the sea on the wild West Cork coast. The Boathouse is a peaceful hideaway for two, surrounded by rewilding land, wetlands & sea. With the beach just 150 metres from the door. Converted using natural materials, the space is light & open, with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored & salvaged by us, giving it its own individual character. Landsdowne Cottage is a 200 year old estate cottage on the edge of 40 acres of nature reserve . We are a 35 year old forest garden planted with a variety of fruit and nut trees. Red squirrel can be seen in the autumn stocking up their stores for the winter. We are situated between the lakes, waterfall and ancient standing stones of Gleninchaquin Valley and Coornagillagh beach. We are ideally located to explore the stunning Ring of Beara, known for its rugged beauty and coast line.

Here at Killaha Holidays we would love to welcome you to our beautifully located large 3 bedroom cabin right on the shore of Kenmare Bay just 2 miles from Kenmare town. Watch the otters, sea birds and wild deer from your deck overlooking the beach. Relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi or inside beside our wood burning stove. A spacious house, secluded and private, it was originally built by my grandparents as a holiday home in the 1950s, now successfully renovated for the 21st century!

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.
