Fabulously beautiful location. Picturesque. Home was lovely, comfortable and delightful to stay in. Many great places to sit, enjoyable amenities. Host was kind to allow us some flexibility to support our family's needs. So appreciated! Highly recommend!

This unit is on the western end of a series of duplexes named Senedo Springs. The gravel roads up here are very walkable. It’s possible to trek down to Lake Laura although it’s a big vertical climb back up. The unit is airy and nice, better than the pictures. Thankfully there is not actually a murphy bed in the living room as shown in the pictures. The blankets are outdated so I recommend bringing your own. Plenty of cookware and dishes available but you’ll need to bring oil, spices, and all other food items. The amenities are great! It’s also nice they provide firewood just a short walk away. Good view of Great North Mountain in the winter. Amazing night sky from this location. This was our second time staying here and it kept its five-star rating!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect! The communication between us and the host was phenomenal! The house was perfect for everything we needed! The hot tub was a family favorite!

This place was great for my team’s travel to Harrisonburg/JMU, it is close to everything yet far from it all. The owners were of great help when we forgot an item and shipped it out quickly! I see it as a great price for the amount of beds compared to others offered in the resort!

It’s a private place to go and enjoy and famili kids are very happy with the pool and activities

Our family of four spent two nights at Callie's Cottage. We had a great time enjoying the trails, fishing the pond, and watching the horses. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the treehouse. The house was cozy, clean and well appointed.

Place was lovely and exactly as listed. Spacious , great views, clean and lots of DVDs and board games. Highly recommend staying here!

She was a great host. Went to welcome us & made sure we had everything we needed. She was so sweet! The farm house was beautiful & the views were espectacular. We will be definitely coming back.

Could not have been happier with how kid friendly it was for my newly turned 3 year old. I traveled 6hrs for a hiking trip and did not bring 1 toy with me as I knew the house would be equipped for entertainment. Also, the house being dog friendly and adult friendly. Brenda thought of every possible thing to make sure you didn’t run out of anything. She even hung up a happy birthday sign for my little guy. Highly recommend!

A very nice place, cozy and very clean. Even though it rained and we couldn't enjoy the hot tub, it didn't stop us from enjoying it. It has everything you need.

Our 2-week stay was wonderful. The views are wonderful, from every room. The kitchen was gorgeous and well-equipped. Loved the lay-out of the house. The owners were very welcoming and responsive. I would give this listing 10 stars if I could.

While we ended up not being able to use (had booked for out of town family for my mom’s funeral), Abby refunded even though it was last minute. Impending snowstorm -too dangerous to travel. We will definitely rebook for mom’s Celebration of Life. Appreciate Abby’s kindness during a difficult time. I would definitely recommend! Beautiful home, spacious, good location, walking distance to good food. Happy to talk to anyone interested as I live nearby. Thank you again Abby!

We stayed in this lovely home for our daughter’s college graduation and it was perfect! It’s a brand new house in a small community, off the beaten path but convenient. It’s spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, well equipped and spacious. The owners were nice and responsive and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

This place is beautiful! Even more gorgeous than the photos. The cabin was large and super clean. Hosts are excellent, very responsive and helpful. Really so glad we stayed here and highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a beautiful, peaceful oasis.

Nicole’s place was absolutely perfect for our girls’ getaway! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and provided the perfect balance of comfort and seclusion. We loved how private and peaceful it felt—such a great escape from the hustle and bustle. The fire pit was amazing for cozy evenings, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking. There’s a Walmart at the bottom of the mountain if you need anything, which was super convenient. A heads-up: if you’re planning to leave on a Sunday, the nearby landfills are closed, so you’ll need to take your trash further along your route home. The drive up the mountain is stunning, but definitely requires an AWD/4WD vehicle to make it up stress-free. Nicole was so responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything even smoother. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to escape and enjoy a relaxing, secluded retreat! Athena provided good instructions and was very responsive. House has a cozy “I’m at home away from home” feel. Quiet street. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants and shops. Wonderful jumping off spot to experience the Shenandoah area and beautiful National Park. Thank you Athena!

Nous avons adoré cette maison. Propre, grande et vaste, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos petits matins et après-midi sur la terrasse. Environnement magnifique, à proximité de quelques randonnées dans le Parc Shenondoah. À 15 minutes seulement des épiceries et autres commerces essentiels. Quelques trajets pour le vélo de route en partant de la maison, mais possibilités limitées. Toutefois à 30 minutes seulement du Skyline Drive où l'expérience vélo en vaut la peine. Enfin, échanges agréables et réponses rapides de notre hôte Laura. On recommande.

The photos matched the place. It was very clean and well maintained. A great place to be away from everything and unplug but near trails.

It’s a very cute house, we really enjoyed our stay. We had no cell service but there is WiFi so it all worked out great! It’s the woods so there are some bugs inside but nothing too bad. It’s a great place, easy to get to as well. I’d definitely stay here again!

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

Staying at WidePine is our family happy place. This is the third year we have planned an April weekend to enjoy this lovely home and its peaceful surroundings. The home is nicely decorated, very comfortable, and has everything you could want as far as amenities. We loved sitting on the deck or screened in porch to relax and enjoy the scenery, and our young kids and dog loved exploring the creek and fields. We also enjoyed traveling into Sperryville and visiting a local brewery. Patrick is a very responsive host and provided us flexibility in our departure time which was greatly appreciated. We have all agreed that next year we want to make it a three day weekend.
