It is a wonderful place to unwind and just stare out of the big window in front of a little fire after a good hiking day. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious what made cooking joyful. I loved it and hope to return one day.

Alistar was a great host with lots of great recommendations. His cottage is surrounded by breathtaking sites, it is warm and cozy and undeniably Scottish. His cottage is a great way to truly experience the Isle of Skye.

We absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful wee home. Bright and comfortable, and spacious enough for 4 adults. Exceeded our expectations. Warm welcome. Fresh eggs! And the most beautiful location. All round perfection. Didn’t want to leave

The only thing that I would rate higher than this cottage was the beautiful view and sunsets we enjoyed (these were truly spectacular!). The Byre was just right - cozy, both secluded and close to the great spots nearby such as the Glendale market/post office, Skye Weavers, and 3 Chimneys. Clear instructions and responsive communication were appreciated too. I would definitely recommend this special place to a friend and I would love to come back someday soon!

OH MY GOODNESS! I don’t know if my husband and I have ever been so at peace being here. We stayed here for a week so we got to really get a feel for the place! First, Ben was so incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive! Upon arrival we got some goodies and an entire binder to look at not only for the place but if you want of local recommendations for hikes, foods, castles, you name it! We also loved the convience store and cafe nearby too! The home itself had every amenity for day to day living, is clean, stylish, and large. However, that view just takes the cake. We loved starting and ending our day with that view and we’re even able to see some other islands on clear days! I will say though, be PREPARED for the roads. It is probably worse than you imagine. Small/one lane and filled with pot holes. So just be mindful of that if when deciding who is driving and what you’re driving! 10000% worth it though. Skye is just absolutely life changing and this place was part of the magic

Perfect property for a couple of nights. Really well kitted out with absolutely everything included plus a washing machine. Good base to explore North Uist

We had an amazing time at Chris and Carolines place. It was tucked away in a private location with spectacular views but also well positioned centrally to get to all of the magic spots across Skye. The hosts were proactive with really clear instructions to locate and access, the house was toasty warm when we arrived with all the amenities you could think of and thoughtful touches like boardgames for families.

We absolutely loved our holiday. The cottage was gorgeous, had everything we needed and was so dog friendly. The cottage was in a perfect spot for exploring, we went to Vatersay, Barra, Eriskay, North and South Uist, Benbecula and Berneray. The weather was kind to us, but the cottage was well stocked with things to do, if rainy. We loved returning after a long day out. The garden was enclosed and safe for our dog, Oscar.He loved his holiday too. would love to come back, still so much in Uist to see. 10 out of 10.

This is a beautiful house in a stunning location. Better even than the photos. It was very cosy and peaceful, with amazing views over the loch from virtually every window. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and there is an amazing sound system. Next time we are coming to Skye I will definitely book here again. Thanks Juliet for the lovely stay.
