We waren er maar voor één nacht om de ochtend erop vroeg het vliegtuig naar huis te kunnen nemen. We zijn jammer genoeg pas aangekomen toen het al donker was en vertrokken in het donker. Dus van de tuin kan ik niet veel zeggen. Maar het was een oase van rust in de stad. We hebben last minute nog gevraagd om te koken voor ons en dat was geen probleem ( en lekker). S morgens om 5u hebben ze ons naar de luchthaven gebracht. Helemaal niet duur, prachtig huis, rustig en ruim, vriendelijke mensen.

We were a group of 7 and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It’s a well maintained property with all the amenities that you would need to live comfortably for a long stay even. We were there for only one night but we really loved every square inch of the tastefully done space.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, somewhat remote, villa with amazing surroundings. We walked down to the river, did yoga on the patio and had Ayurvedic treatments next door. The owner is a charming person with a beautiful vision for the place. He was very friendly and took time out to show us around the garden and let us try fresh herbs and spices. I would recommend to have a car so that you can get to Kandy and visit all beautiful and inspiring sights the area has to offer.

We were a family of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids) staying overnight at Chandana's place before heading out to Bentota next day noon. We arrived around 9:45 PM tired and weary, but were welcomed by the warm home of Padmi and Chandana. They had cooked some amazing hot dinner for us which we wolfed down. Their house is very contemporary and comfortable, and we all slept well. The rooms and the house is very clean with all the necessary amenities - whether you are renting the whole house or individual rooms. It is also in a quiet neighborhood and we woke up to the sounds of birds chirping. Definitely a place we will consider when we visit Colombo next.

The place is quiet, convenient and offers an amazing outdoor space - the decent size pool is clean and well-lit in the evenings, there's a great pool house you can chill in/by, and you can literally take walks around the yard, it's that big. It's also an amazing opportunity to observe some of the local wildlife from the comfort of your sunbed or the patio - we saw a number of colourful birds, monkeys, squirrels, and komodos. The breakfast was generous and VERY tasty, and a great opportunity to try some local food (e.g., sambol, chicken curry, lentil/dhal curry, rotti) alongside your standard Western breakfast options. The villa caretakers are the sweetest people - attentive, kind, and ready to help with absolutely anything and everything! They looked after us and made sure we had a great time at the villa. For us, that made a massive difference, and if we're ever back in Colombo, we would be returning to the Temple Pond Villa.

Сама вилла отличная, 4 просторные спальни, больше ухоженная территория, бассеин, за которым ухаживают каждое утро. Уборка дома проводилась через день, со сменой полотенец. На кухне есть все что нужно, посуда, костром сковородки, по прибытию были Яица молоко соль масло. Также есть стиральная машина. Из минусов: мы были с середины до конца апреля 2025 года, начался не сезон были очень сильные волны и наш пляж совершенно не соответствовал нашим ожиданиям, сразу после ступенек был не песок, как мы видели на фото а огромные глыбы камней, под которыми бушует океан, тоесть чтобы спуститься к морю нужно идти по этим камням в право вил 6. Мы были с 3 детьми и для нас это было очень проблематично. Поговорив с персоналом нам объяснили что в это время так всегда , идет отлив и песок уходит, потом возвращается. Вывод вилла отличная но рекомендуется к посещению в сезон Отдельно хочу отметить водителя(он же мыл бассейн по утрам) возил нас везде, был очень терпелив.

Maybe the best AirBnB property I’ve used? Lovely and spacious home with dreamy outdoor lighting when the sun goes down. So much natural light by day! It was perfect for our meetings and our host + property manager were so gracious. We found out we could purchase meals during our stay and it was certainly the right decision. The food was amazing, delivered on time and servings were generous. Highly recommend!

Tout simplement fabuleux ! Villa extrêmement paisible, au milieu de la végétation luxuriante et des oiseaux face au fleuve. Très belles prestations, même au au delà de nos attentes. Il faut absolument que je mentionne Pushpakhanth, le gardien de la villa qui vous emmène partout en Tuck Tuck, toujours présent à la moindre demande et sachant se faire discret. Et la chère Gajanthusitha, cuisinière hors pair, et très gentille. Les échanges avec eux ont aussi permis de mieux connaître les us et coutumes du Sri Lanka. J’ai également pu bénéficier, grâce au réseau de Nimal, à des cours de yoga quotidien à la villa de très bonne qualité avec Mahesh Kodikara (qui pratique aussi la méditation) et à de merveilleux massages Ayurveda avec une masseuse qui se déplace également. Le tout dans un cadre extraordinaire. Ce séjour fait parti de nos plus beaux voyages.

This house is idyllic. It’s right by the beach, absolutely beautiful location. It was clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, good shower pressure. Shani was an amazing host. She responded quickly to any questions (we had a lot) and was extremely pleasant and obliging. Food costs extra but was delicious.

My family and I loved the house and everything about it. As somebody mentioned before there are 3 bulls/cows, 4 dogs. They don’t bother you at all but the kids didn’t play as much as they wanted in the backyard because they were afraid of the bulls. The house is VERY clean, very comfortable beds and big bathrooms. And most importantly the staff are very respectful and helpful.

Fabulous location for a pit stop and views are amazing. The food was delicious, staff attentive and we stayed as a group and we all enjoyed it. Note bring mosquito repellent for the evenings if you wish to stay out:)

We had a great time staying at the villa. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was good, generous and served flexibly whenever we were ready. The garden and the pool are really pretty. Rohan was so accommodating and amazingly helpful with organizing transport and everything else we needed. The two dogs are really cute, especially goofy Mario. All in all I can really recommend staying at the villa, especially if you want to relax with a group of friends or family.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

Villa Maggona is an absolutely beautiful property with the most amazing staff. Chef prepares fabulous fresh food, Stanley is a lovely person who will always advise and accommodate. A special mention must go to Sumrita who really is the most beautiful, kind soul who goes above and beyond in her role. She really wants her guests time at Villa Maggona to be special. The garden is maintained every day and the pool is beautiful. You won’t find so much as a fallen leaf lying around. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach are very relaxing. The beach is lovely for an evening stroll. We really did find this home to be a haven. One thing to consider is that you do have to have transport to go to a beach with amenities and/or activities. Tuk tuks are readily available, we used the Pickme app which allows you to book and pay cash once your journey is completed. I would definitely go back to VM and can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this beautiful property and the amazing staff working there.

The service at Villa Sanara is exceptional, and we can not speak highly enough of it. From Sam's super responsive correspondence in the lead up to the trip, collecting us at the airport at 4am, to Sandun's personal tour services and taking us in to Colombo to replace broken luggage. We were so impressed that we asked for assistance with arranging the rest of our Sri Lankan trip and a personal driver, which Sandun willing provided. The food prepared by the chef was delicious, and all our requests (mangos, guava, papaya, as well as Sri Lankan food suitable for kids!) were met. The kids loved the pool and the sunsets over the ocean were great.

We had a lovely stay at the Gracian Villa in Kandy. The highlight was definitely the infinity pool, such a peaceful spot with amazing views, especially having breakfast outside and at sunset. The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-kept, and the staff were so helpful and kind. It’s in a quiet area but within a 10 minute taxi to the town. The host was friendly and responsive throughout. Overall, a really relaxing experience which we would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a chill getaway in the hills whilst being touching distance to all of Kandy’s treasures.

Beautiful villa, lovely swimming pool. The rooms were lovely and had AC. Shame you couldn’t swim in the sea at the bottom of the garden. There was a cooked in the living area, this did not work. The food from the menu was expensive , so we didn’t eat there

Villa incroyable, les dessins sur les murs sont sublimes ! Très propre! Il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner ! L’accueil par l’hôte était exceptionnel, personne très gentille et super réactive ! Je recommande à 100 %

We had an amazing stay! We are a family of 6 and we had 10 days in Sri Lanka, finalising with 3 days in this top Summer villa. Having 3 staff at our service was a nice add on and made our stay so much easier! Dimension of the rooms and the view were perfect! Pool was great, meals also and cleaning was spot on.

Laura and her team were amazing. They were always at hand when we needed to speak to someone, they were super flexible and they gave us clear instructions on how to find things, where to do stuff etc. They were very flexible with our arrival time and when we were there, they showed us local restaurants and other facilities. We were a big group of friends from different nationalities, getting ready for a wedding and they were just happy for us and enjoyed the time with us. whenever there was a language issue as English wasn't everyone's first language, it was quickly overcome.
