The Wooden House is very charming. Daniel and his staff met us on arrival and offered us a cold refreshing drink and took us on a tour. We were fortunate to see the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro that evening from one of the bedroom windows. This made our day! The kitchen and dining area is outdoor and adds a special touch to the house. The Wooden House was a great place to end our Amazing trip in Tanzania.

Wat een fantastisch huis! Ons hele gezelschap was ontzettend enthousiast. Een mooi huis, erg sfeervol ingericht en aan alles was gedacht. Ik zou het ontzettend aanraden en hoop zeker een keer terug te komen.

We enjoyed our stay on the leafy foothills at Magdalena’s. Erick, our manager/ chef was always eager to make sure we were fed— he also helped us find the place for the first time, meeting us along the way. It’s a proper home home, and we felt as if we were guests at a friend’s, just missing the friend! Staff were on site to light a fire to roast marshmallows, there was a housekeeper who took care of chores. Nice to have a generator so we didn’t have to stop watching Netflix on TV 🤪. Really good. We would go back to explore the area some more.

A nice place for a group of friends or family. We felt right at home. Roberto was great at hosting and very flexible with the group of us there. The house is on the marathon route if you are in Moshi for the Kili Marathon. A quiet and peaceful place and shopping and good restaurants are a walking distance. Very good value for money. We shall definitely be back.

Nice clean house with all that you'd need for your stay. Comfortable bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen. Very friendly and responsive host. Great location in shanty Town walkable to cafes and local shops. Quiet area. Maria who helps with cleaning and maintaining the area was also very friendly and helpful. I feel so lucky and grateful to have lived and worked remotely here for 5 weeks. I even booked another stay here before I left. It’s such a special place to stay in such a special part of the world. Shara and Jacob are amazing hosts and remarkable and inspiring people. The house is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Jacob did the woodwork himself in the house and the craftsmanship is amazing. The property is beautiful too and so is the area. It’s up a little ways from town in a beautiful area, still with access to a good grocery store (Woodland Market), there are ATMs and banks near Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center, etc. It feels like Shara and Jacob made it possible for me to experience Moshi in a local and authentic way and that’s such a gift. I also got to experience some amazing bike rides, plus Jacob is a very accomplished mechanic who takes great care of the bikes for you if you want them. I feel very lucky to have stayed here and very lucky to meet Shara and Jacob.

Sarah's place is amazing. Living in her apartment felt like home. Kitchen laundry access big plus. was able to prepare my own meals. The place is organized and you will have your privacy. I will definitely come back.

Extremely well landscaped, like a garden of Eden. Gloria and her family are very hospitable. Just outside of property is gorgeous view of the mountain, and a nice walking trail. Like most of Moshi, place is not air conditioned, there are many fans and it gets cool at night. Also, like most of Moshi, power is spotty at times, there is a small battery backup that works well. Overall I was treated extremely well by Gloria and her family.

This is a lovely house within the city centre. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. They go above and beyond in making sure you are comfortable. I will return whenever I am in Moshi. I recommend this house and the hosts. Thank you!
