Everything was as described, bed was very comfortable as well as the furniture. Everything was very neat and clean. Was extremely easy to get in and out of the house.

This was the most thoughtful host and well-stocked home! They thought of everything-COMPLETE breakfast fixings (coffee & creamer, fresh eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, bread, fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, cereal, homemade jelly, juices, hot chocolate)!! Wow!! They even provided snacks-popcorn, s’mores, etc! Plus, soap and toiletries! It was so nice to have EVERYTHING and not have to go shopping for necessities. The view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend The Old Parsonage! Loved it!

The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautifully decorated and clean organized home. It was just what we needed for our family. The lack of a designated parking space was a new and somewhat uncomfortable experience, but we always found a spot close to the house.

We visited our son in Longwood University which brought us to Kira’s cabin. The cabin is a short drive from downtown Farmville, less than 15 minutes, rests on a large open grassy field with a nice sized fireplace and a few hiking paths. The interior of the cabin is very welcoming, the feel is that of a late 19th century hunter’s cabin with modern features like wi-fi, central air, entertainment center, and a modern kitchen. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious. We felt like we visited our family or close friend’s home. Thank you!

This was the perfect house for what we needed. We were there for three nights and the location was perfect to get to liberty University as well as a quick walk to downtown and the river walk. We had five adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. Even if we would have had a few children with us, there still would have been plenty of space.

It was beautiful and peaceful. The house was clean and spacious and if he had any questions or needed help with something she was very responsive. It was a healing trip for our family and exactly what we needed. We hope we can return next year!

Angelica is an excellent host, very clear with communications and quick to respond to questions. The space was perfect, well equipped, clean and comfortable. There’s a lot of love scattered throughout the space with snacks, drinks, pet treats and other little essentials. We will stay here again….

Angie's place is absolutely beautiful. It is perfectly spotless, very roomy, full of light, and the perfect location. The kitchen had all the things we needed, the bed was so comfortable, and Angie even had extra toiletries available. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Cheryl’s home was absolutely beautiful and squeaky clean! I did get a little nervous when we didn’t receive the address but I reached out and she gave it to me. The only thing we had a problem with was the door keypad. At times it appeared to have been jammed or something. Overall, I rate Cheryl’s place a 10 out of 10. Prayerfully, we can stay again in the near future.

House has amazing views, comfortable sleeping arrangements and close to breweries and wineries. Also close to Wintergreen. My children loved the ping pong table, adults loved the hot tub. Would stay there again.

Karen was very pleasant & quick to respond. We rented her home for our son’s wedding. She gave great recommendations & took care of a problem right upon arrival. The home was beautiful, we had plenty of space for our family & loved being able to bring our dog. The master bath floor & tub wasn’t the cleanest, I don’t blame that at all on the host, I’m sure it can be hard with cleaners managing a property. And the steps going upstairs weren’t swept. I didn’t want to bother her again, as she had already taken care of a problem for us earlier, so we just went with it, it wasn’t unbearable. Beds were comfy. Towels were nice, washcloths may need a little updating, but overall, it was what we needed & served its purpose.

Logan was a very responsive host. We enjoyed the home very much. The kids loved the arcade games, the back patio, and the big bubble bath on the main level which was very accessible for kids next to the bunk beds room they loved. We had a great family thanksgiving in the beautiful dinning room. Would highly recommended this home for anyone visiting Liberty University or Lynchburg Virginia for family trip. Great location and we loved watching the red cardinals through the big windows in the kitchen/ breakfast nook.

My Fiancé and I loved this for a romantic weekend getaway. A quiet and beautiful setup with plenty of outdoor activities around. A very comforting stay and definitely would book again.

I stayed in the cabin on the river, I must say it was probably the best few days I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful and peaceful set up, not to mention the farm as a whole was amazing. I will definitely be back!

A wonderful week with my mom, teen son, and two dogs! I could gaze at that view forever. The staff are so friendly, the animals are a ton of fun, and the scenery is unforgettable. We fed the animals, walked a lot, and made great meals in the well-equipped kitchen. I slept great and didn’t even mind the pigs waking me up at sunrise. The built-in stair gates were a helpful surprise for keeping the dogs contained, and they loved the two large fenced yard areas. We also took a couple hours to visit Appomattox Court House and James River State Park—both well worth it. I look forward to another trip to Altamont Farm!

Amy was a great host! Her camper is extremely beautiful and clean and she’s super accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend going!

The White House was perfect. It was peaceful being surrounded by horses in the country. We took the beginner horseback riding course too. The dogs loved the fenced in yard. Would 100% come back again.

It was an amazing stay, the host are great people and they make you feel right at home. Loved the experience from beginning to end.

This spot is indeed worth all the five star ratings! If you are in need of a reprieve from the hustle of everyday living/work - this is a prefect place. Hidden down a gravel drive off a quiet country road, Erin and Matt's cabin is the epitome of rustic chic perfection! The cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We were very glad we opted to bring all our food provisions vs depending on driving into Farmville, which is a good 25 minutes away. We did drive out to enjoy a long walk on the High Bridge Trail with our dog and then get a beer at Three Roads Brewery. The description that the water front is down a very steep pitch is no joke! We loved taking our dog down to the water but keep in mind it would be near impossible to carry anything down there (i.e. ice chest, chairs etc) if you were thinking of hanging out for any period of time. All in all - the peaceful getaway was just what we were looking for and would highly recommend as well as return in the future!
