Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. Deer Park cottage is situated within the private Scottish estate garden and is surrounded by the deer park. It is the most secluded of cottages and offers a very private and natural hideaway. Powered by wood pellet boiler and on its own water system supplied from the Ochills you can feel completely at one with nature. On occasions you can wake up to deer grazing within feet of your bedroom window and be lulled to sleep by the hooting of owls or wind blowing through the trees.

Menstrie Castle Stay offers “The Turret.” A spacious 3 bedroom apartment within the castle over two floors comprising 2 Kingsize and 1 double bedroom. The first floor has an entrance hallway with a cloakroom toilet and an adjoining living room, dining room and kitchen. The stairs lead up to a spacious hallway, the 3 bedrooms and a family shower room. The Turret can accommodate up to 6 adults.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

The Hayloft

The Hayloft has been turned into a light and airy flat above our stables. We live next to a path which takes you north to the Ochils or south to the beautiful Gartmore Water: perfect if you are a walker or a cyclist. The nearby village of Dollar has a castle, cafes, a pub and a restaurant. We are 40 minutes from Edinburgh airport, 25 minutes from Gleneagles Hotel, 20 minutes from Stirling and an hour from the centre of both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
