Breath taking views from every window, loved the detailed information guides for places to eat, things to do and walks to go on. Especially appreciated all the maps and laminated guides we could take our on our day adventures. Such a perfect little get away spot.

Beautiful warm clean accommodation . The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Bathroom was large, very clean and hot water. Julie left us a wide choice of breakfast including vegan, lovely. Very private and quiet, parking. Attention to detail was great “sheep” .

Beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Bed comfy. Very quite. Just the environment we needed to get our head down before our hiking challenge. We loved the little extra’s - fresh milk provided in a beautiful bottle and cereal in a jar. Great touch! I would definitely recommend the host and I would 100 percent stay at this place again. Great peaceful stay in beautiful location, opposite the marshes... a stunning sunset walk! Delicious breakfasts, Raphaela went out of her way to cater a tasty vegan breakfast. One of my favourite breakfasts in a long time! Thank you for a warm and friendly stay, would highly recommend :)

Shepherd’s Heft was perfect for our long Bank Holiday stay, close to Hadrian’s Wall and a short walk into Haltwhistle. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage. Easy to walk out with the dog, and to park safely.

Loved Sonia’s place! Gorgeous decor and the place had everything we needed. Particularly loved the kitchen 🫶🏼and the bed was super comfy! Everything was spotlessly clean and Sonia was a responsive host. Thank you

We had such an amazing time at the apartment. Firstly, it was really clean and beautiful, even better than the pictures revealed. It also had everything we needed, including toiletries we left at home. Louisa also left some groceries and cookies, which helped us really feel at home. She was also very thoughtful to accommodate us for a late checkout after our car's breakdown delayed our plans. Overall, a very beautiful experience and we can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful, clean room with lovely views, in a great location. Hosts were very proactive and gave us helpful intructions for finding it, parking, getting in, and what to do in the area. They provided basic toiletries for the bathroom, a hairdryer, a kettle, tea/coffee and cups. It would have been amazing to have a mini fridge as it's just the room, but it didn't make a huge impact as we just stayed the night. The bed was cosy and comfy, lovely stay!!

We booked a last minute getaway with our dog for 3 nights. Lilia could not have been a better host, from the recommendations of the pub close by to the dog walks from our doorstep. The accomodation was absolutely stunning with all of the home comforts required and a few little touches extra. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous gem to everyone. Hopefully we will back on this area in the future 🤞

Absolutely loved our stay—clean, stylish, and perfectly located! The host was incredibly welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it feel like a true home away from home.

I want to try and find the appropriate superlatives to describe both the place as well as Pamela and Keith (and the dogs!), but fear I’d only fall short. The place was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It is fully equipped for one’s stay without feeling the least bit cluttered, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom and shower larger than normal or a European experience. Additionally, Pamela provided us with a range of fruits, bread, eggs, and other things to eat each morning. The farm upon which the house was situated could only be called picturesque with the green rolling hills of the valley and striated with the famous rock fences. Their guidebook had many great suggestions for things to do. Finally, if the warmth and humor of Keith and Pamela aren’t your thing how sad as they made the stay that much better, like being with the best of friends you didn’t know you were missing. We have had the luck of many nice hosts and I won’t rank beyond to say one can’t hope for better.

Wainwright’s rest is a lovely self contained unit perfect for getting away but with a little bit more privacy than traditional b& b nestled in picturesque Shap your gateway to the Lake District Emma is a great host and the accommodation is 5 star quality.

Me and my partner had a fantastic stay at this amazingly cute cottage! 😊 the cottage was in a lovely peaceful place and with all the animals and lovely wooded areas and rivers ❤️ great location and spoilt for choice with the lakes, penines and Northumberland at your door step 😊 Susan was lovely and very helpful and I would recommend anyone to go and have a lovely stay!

Perfect, quiet retreat in a beautiful location. The accommodation was very comfortable with well stocked kitchen and powerful shower. We loved wildlife spotting in the garden - deers, birds and bats. Some very good walks, perfect location for the northern fells. Quaint little villages with good local pubs. Emma was extremely helpful answering my questions before our trip and makes the most fantastic brownies- thank you!

We had a lovely stay with Mary and Adam. They helped us with every question that we had. There is a lot to do in a short driving distance. Thank you for a fabulous week. 🙂

We really enjoyed our time in 'The Store'. Jo & her husband have really optimized the space in it. Th mezzanine bed was fab & great fun to get to. Up & down the ladder. We are 56 & 57 but felt like teenagers 🤣 We had access to kettle, extra jug of water, tea, coffee, sugar & milk. There was a cheeky caramel which went very well with hot drinks. They even left out breakfast supplies & fruit. We enjoyed sitting out in their garden, they have a beautiful layout. When the listing says you are welcome to enjoy they really do mean it. Jo & her husband were fabulous hosts. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable & confident in the space. Jo was very responsive to any messages & gave clear instructions on check in even letting us know we could check in early. If we were in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to book. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your store 🙂

We had a truly lovely stay. The place is so cosy and homely. We were in the area for a festival but would book again for a walking holiday - such a beautiful part of the world and this accommodation is a great base for exploring the lakes. We loved having the coffee machine, the bed was comfy and we felt completely at home. The dogs were super-friendly and cute and the hosts really helpful.
