We visited with our dog and stayed in the Smardale Cabin. It was the perfect place for us with everything we could have needed and close local walks, also easy to travel around the area. We found a lot of recommendations through the information Stuart provided and leaflets in the cabin. It was very peaceful and relaxing with the hot tub which can be used at any point as it is constantly heated. We also enjoyed toasting marshmallows using the fire pit (everything you need for it is available to buy in the little shop if you don’t bring your own). We would highly recommend this stay and hope we can return soon!

Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

The lodge was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival all the essentials were provided like bread, milk and a delicious cake along. The lodge was very clean and all towels were provided, including the towels for the hot tub. The views from the lodge looking out from the bedrooms and hot tub were stunning and certainly helped us all to relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need - nothing was missing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - I couldn’t recommend it enough if you want peace and quiet and stunning views.

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

This was my first time travelling alone, me and my two dogs absolutely loved it! So peaceful and quiet! Tracey was fantastic when I had a couple of questions and made me feel really comfortable specially when I first arrived and as a female solo travelling that was really comforting, thankyou so much for hosting, will be recommending to friends and family!

Went on a couples trip with 8 people to Julia’s gorgeous place. Was everything and more we could’ve hoped for. The pictures do not do the view justice!!! Very clean and well equipped, was so memorable.

Had a family weekend which was great from start to finish. The lodge was lovely, clean and actually better than described. Beautiful surroundings with lovely pub for food. Swimming pool was great too. Overall amazing experience - thank you, Sarah.

Absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer's place. Was a last minute booking to celebrate a birthday and finding this place available was perfect and on top of that we were so lucky with the weather. It's been a long time since visited the lakes and never had the weather so good. Jennifer's place had everything you could possible need, it was clean & homely and felt so comfortable. It is furnished so beautifully with great attention to detail, beautiful pictures around the home and the kitchen was so well equipped. Jennifer the host was happy to help with any questions. what can I say? All the reviews about Herdy Lodge were spot on. To take a teenager away from his playstation to somewhere so quiet I was nervous. That ended when we arrived, just how lovely this place is cannot be described. So peaceful yet loads to do. My son and I have fallen in love with the lake district, my dog has a new found love of sheep and chickens. From arriving and receiving lovely treats and eggs from the farm, to the amazing locations to walk our dog. But so much more than that ... to hear my son ask when we can go back has made me smile driving all the way home to Watford. Andrew & Alison thank you for letting us stay at your gorgeous home. We'll be back next half term. I can guarantee that. Already missing our walks around Talkin Tarn. If I could give 20 🌟 I would.

Faultless, we had a really amazing 3 night stay here, glorious weather and lots to do. Cabin was awesome and hot tub was perfect. Will definitely return. Titch coming to see us everyday was a highlight to

Caravan was immaculate and had everything you needed. Was really homely and cosy. Nice short walk into town which had lovely dog friendly places to eat and drink. The hill going up to the caravan was very slippy as it had been raining, i had slipped on wet moss going out one morning so just to warn people to be mindful of this. Would definately return as we had a lovely stay.

Lovely clean caravan In beautiful peaceful surroundings. The caravan park itself only had around 5 caravans so nice and quiet, the donkeys were a welcome sight too! First ever Airbnb for all of us which went very smoothly so big thank you to Rachel for her advice (and the park warden who found my wallet and arranged to post it out for me!) Stayed to walk scafell pike which went very well. Big things!

A lovely cabin, set in a very scenic area and just a very short walk from the lake. Good value and very accommodating hosts who communicate well. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back again.

Highly recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Charlotte's beautiful herdie hideaway. it is set in a wonderfully secure feild surrounded by sheep and lambs this time of year with views of the countryside all around. The location was so peaceful and secluded perfect to escape the daily grind of life now a days. The hut had everything you need and Charlotte has thought of everything and the bed was so comfy ! it was lovely waking up to the beautiful sunrises and sounds of nature and to top it off the hut is in its own secure feild so our dog loved the freedom to roam while we relaxed around the firepit in an evening. Charlotte was super helpful and responsive to all questions asked and even let us check in early. We will definitely be back again soon !

Amazing place to stay, we took 3 of our dogs and our son. Hot tub, amazing children’s play area, trampoline, swings, seesaw, 20+ go carts with track, play obstacle course, climbing frame, slide, basketball hoops and football nets. The pictures on the advert are outdated and don’t show the go cart track. A brilliant field specifically for walking the dogs, not fully secure due to gaps under the gate but great for dogs who will ignore sheep. Lovely pod with everything we could have needed, hot tub lovely and warm, amazing views. Picnic bench and parking space. Lots of towels available, comfy bed and pillows. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco, eggs and biscuits. Very happy with our stay! We went to The bridge end inn for tea, 2 nights in a row!! The food was absolutely fantastic, well priced but quality fresh cooked food. Booking is a must as they were very busy.

Had the best stay at Austin lodge ! Everything was immaculate very cosy and worth every penny. Lennox and Leah always responded very quickly and were able to answer every question I had. Location was perfect had lovely wooded walks and not too far from centre. Will most definitely be back.

A perfect stay for the beginning of our Cumbria way walk. The Shepherd's hut was spotless and Hilary had supplied some lovely breakfast items for us to enjoy. Hilary is a great host and went above and beyond to help with our walking plans. Spotting deer out the window was a highlight! I recommend the stay to any guest thinking about booking it - do it! We can't wait to stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay in the pod. The location was fantastic, short drive / nice walk to get anywhere we wanted to go. Village is lovely and we were very happy to be greeted by lambs when we arrived! The whole place was clean and tidy. The only tiny comment we would make is that the bbq is the chimenea whereas we assumed the advert meant they had both. However everything else was perfect and we would definitely recommend Mark and the pod.

We had a lovely holiday at Tarn Barn Retreat which we used as a base to visit family in the local area. The caravan comfortably accommodated my husband and I along with our 3 children. It was very wild and windy during our stay, but that only made the caravan more atmospheric and cosy. The caravans heaters kept us warm and toasty when it got a little bit chilly. We are hoping we can visit again in warmer weather, visit the beach and pick up some Tarn Bay Treats!

Katie was super helpful in our stay! She came out to help us late in the evening when we couldn’t stop the alarm going off! The pod was in a lovely location with great views, perfect place to start our hike from. Thanks for having us :D

Perfect place if you want some peace and quiet while being surrounded by nature. The hut is very cosy and the surroundings just breath taking. I only saw Nicola for brief moment, but she was very welcoming and kind.
