Stayed here to spend time with my daughter, who attend ASU, ita a Great place to spend time with your family, roomy, has all necessities needed and entertainment.

Karen's place was perfect. The views were great and the place had everything you could need from anything you could need in the kitchen to toys and games for the kids and family. Great space for our family of four and would have easily accomodated a couple more.

Amy and Theresa's place is located just by the mountains in a secluded location with amazing views all around. We visited in mid April and got some snow which made the view even more lovely. The house is relatively small but feels very roomy and cozy. My kids had such a great time that my 8 yo was literally hugging the walls when we left! Getting there can be a bit challenging since you have to drive 4 miles through dirt roads, but Amy was very helpful and we made it there without much hassle.

Super cute house! So close to the Sand Dunes, recreation hot springs, and the gator farm. Loved being so close to all of the sight seeing. House was clean and super stocked up. Would definitely stay again if I was in the dunes area.

Excellent stay where we made many fun memories. Great size of place for multiple couples or families. We all had space and we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Would definitely stay again next year!

Danyelle’s place was a great place for us while visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was very clean, cozy, and charming and had everything we needed to rest and prepare simple meals. Communications were clear and fast and easy to check in and out.

Amazing place to stay at

Thus was my second time staying at Rustic Rook and I loved it. I closed ou the summer with my friends at the sand dunes. The wood fire stove in tent provided much needed warmth at night, we brought our own wood because the stove burns fast(something I learned from my first stay). Plenty of grills to cook and the staff is pretty helpful. I wish the bathrooms were cleaned more frequently but also I'm so thankful for them. Either way, I recommend!

Stayed here for 2 nights to explore the Great Sand Dunes and the quiet little town of Alamosa. Mary is so responsive and very friendly! It's close (walkable) to most restaurants in Alamosa and 30 minutes to the Great Sand Dunes. The house has a couple parking spaces, full kitchen, washer/dryer and is pet friendly! Definitely recommend!

Rustic Rook was a perfect stop for our road trip. My teen kids and I traveled to the Sand Dunes from Denver to take some senior pictures. Check in was easy, staff was very nice/helpful and our tent was a short walk from where we parked. There was also a cart to use to move your things from your vehicle to the tent. The tent was clean, beds were comfortable and there was a furnace inside. We slept in sleeping bags on the beds and they do supply you with some wood in the room for free but I recommend you buy some extra wood from the main office if you want to run a fire all night. We ordered a family pack for food and grilled on site. We looked at the stars in telescopes they had for use. We had smores around a campfire with a live band to set the vibes. Also, we heard coyotes singing from our tent. The bathroom/showers were a short walk and was a huge blessing to have. Our stay here was awesome and would definitely visit again!

This was a great experience for our family! The evenings were filled with so much fun, the s’mores and music was a great touch! Breakfast was delicious, everyone was so helpful with tips for our trip.

This is a great spot. Quite and cozy but still I’m walking distance from downtown. So much more comfortable than staying in a hotel.

Der Aufenthalt in der Jurte war sehr angenehm. Trotz kalter Temperaturen war es in der Jurte sehr warm und gemütlich. Wir haben am Abend an der Feuerstelle gesessen und konnten die Sterne beobachten, was ein besonderes Highlight war. Die Kommunikation war auch sehr einfach, was den Aufenthalt nochmal attraktiver gemacht hat. Vielen Dank!
