Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms with fabulous food and atmosphere right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. There’s the Old Chapel Tearoom, a Londis & ‘Off the Scale’ shop We are also along the Esk Valley train line to Whitby

Enjoy this spacious and newly converted barn with beautiful original old beams located approx 15 minutes on foot (uphill ) from the scenic village of Lealholm. An ideal place to stay if you are a wedding guest at either Danby Castle or Egton Manor. On the ground floor is a large open plan living room with kitchen leading to the bedroom with en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Winnow Cottage is set in the idyllic North York Moors National Park. Dating back to the 1800s, the cottage has an open plan living and dining area with a kitchen and two en-suite double bedrooms.
