This was such a phenomenal place to stay. The access to the river was lovely, and the entire house had so many great touches and details. The kitchen is very well stocked, beds and pillows so so comfortable. Location was fantastic and close to everything you need. I will definitely be back to stay here again !

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

Such a great spot! Quiet, cozy and straight forward with everything needed for a relaxing and genuine rural Canada experience. A perfect place for a couple to get away and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Demilune Lodge is an incredible cabin on the lake! Backing onto wetlands of South Bay the sounds were an orchestra of nature and the stars are absolutely beautiful at night. The cabin is very private if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The dock was perfect for launching our canoe, and we most definitely want to come back with our kayaks for some longer paddles on bigger water and explore more of the beautiful limestone cliff shoreline. Lots of hiking and scenic walks in the South Shore with all of the wildlife reserves and conservation lands. A short drive to amazing food and beverage. This cabin is amazing and we will most definitely be back!

We chose to cancel our trip to South Carolina due to the current USA administration's policies. We opted instead for an Ontario staycation and Highpoint Hideaway checked all of our boxes. It is so cozy and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove, the hot tub, the ambience and the natural setting. We went for some lovely walks and made all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was important to us to have our dog, and the cottage was a perfect spot for him. I highly recommend Highpoint Hideaway!

We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at The Nook, a beautifully converted barn that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting and the charming character of the property. The barn has been thoughtfully renovated—retaining its rustic charm while offering all the modern comforts you could want. The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless, with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely touches throughout that made it feel special. One of our favorite features was the dedicated meditation area, complete with yoga mats and calming décor—it was the perfect space to unwind and reconnect.

From the private location, the acres of cedar trees and secret pathways to the wetlands and the singing frogs, baby goats and their gentle mama’s, the kindness radiating from Humble Ranch is tangible. The owners welcomed me by moving long and deep into presence clipping the goats feet 😅 donkey, horse and the strange and wonderful alpacas were nothing but gracious hosts as well. Loving it all. The cabin was complete and comfy. TV was a bonus! What a wonderful weekend! Gracias amigas 🥳

A nice place to relax with a great fire pit. Ideally located between Toronto and Ottawa, which worked great for our group. Asha was very responsive. Would stay here again!

We spend my husband's birthday at Katherine & William’s cabin. The space is super cute and cozy, we felt at home! The surroundings are beautiful and calm, perfect for a weekend getaway. We also took advantage of Katherine’s tips and spent some time at trails and local restaurants, and it was amazing! I highly recommend and it was one of my best Airbnb experiences!

we decided on a 5 day family vacation with my 2 boys and our French bulldog. we wanted something unique, off grid, peaceful and where we can connect as a family after a busy summer. the tiny oak cabin delivered all of the above. we were surrounded by beautiful scenery, forestry and incredible sunsets. fresh farm eggs were available for purchase as well as firewood making it easy to access! Andrea and her family were so pleasant and let my boys feed the farm baby goats. what a great experience from beginning to end. would definitely recommend!!!!

The place was a little hard to find but Megan was SO helpful and guided us all the way there! The room was beautiful and the nature surrounding was so peaceful! It was a little cold so we had to wake up in the middle of the night to feed more wood to the fire. But other than that, this was an amazing stay and I'll definitely be coming back in the summer 😍

Christine’s place was absolutely beautiful and literally perfect for a cottage long weekend. the pictures don’t even do it justice. the dock out looked such a beautiful lake, great for water activities!! the beds worked out perfectly for 5 people, thought u could definitely fit 7, maybe 8. the kitchen was equipped with quite enough, and the bathroom had sanitary products which was so convenient. there’s also a soft tub which was super warm and so relaxing, and an entire bar room with darts overlooking the water! we had so so so much fun here and it was seriously such a beautiful cottage, don’t let the lack of reviews fool you!! absolutely loved this so much:)

John is a very warm and approachable host. He was there to welcome us and show us around the cottage. He was available to quickly come over when we needed something and is overall really pleasant. He was kind enough to let us know that we could use a part of his property that is enclosed to let our dog off-leash and play. The property feels very private, by a beautiful quaint meandering stream. The interior of the cottage is spacious and free for clutter with a more than capable large wood fire furnace. The outhouse was as clean as it can be.

Great place for a quite peaceful getaway. The hosts took great care of us. The cabin had everything we needed for our duration of the stay. Ansolutely loved our stay. Points for bbq facilities prividing us as much firewood as we wanted keeping us warm and cozy the host’s attention to detail with regards to meeting customer’s needs. spotless, clean showerroom

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! Great place to stay, the cabin is cozy and clean, we can still smell the pine wood that is the building material of the cabin. We came on the thanksgiving long weekend, this year it was very cold, fortunately we brought our winter jackets and sleeping bags. The host is very nice, you can ask for more comforts if you don’t have your own, otherwise it is too cold to sleep. We didn’t bring drinking water, but a general store is 3 minutes driving away. The fall scene was spectacular, the lake is peaceful, the host and her son were friendly and responsive. We may come again in summer when it is warmer.

Really nice place and very friendly host. It’s a beautiful spot for friends, couples or family with kids. A nice escape from the city for a weekend.

This was our third time staying at the Dream Cabin and each time is better than the last. Roman and Irina are the ideal hosts with their quick response times, easy check-in instructions, lovely hospitality and overall friendly people who never hesitate to answer questions or assist in any way. It’s truly a place of paradise and we will be revisiting for many more years to come. Thanks Roman and Irina!!

This Romantic Cabin is a must to go visit , it is in spotless conditions and there is lots to do around , surrounded with beautiful forest view , inside you have everything you ever wanted staring from kitchen items and spices down to sunglasses , very well oriented and easy to use , nice bathtub with hot and cold water , we never ran out of power or water plenty to use. Beautiful fire pit with lots of wood to use, Peter is very helpful host and the best host out there , and will respond immediately if you needed help with anything. Instructions are straight forward. My girlfriend and I are really looking forward to coming back to this beautiful romantic cabin !!!! ITS A MUST TRY !!!!

I had the best time at Sarah's place. It was so relaxing and and peaceful, I really needed to get away from the city and work and just take some time to unwind and relax. The beach cabin was a delight to stay in, everything was decorated so well and the hot tub and sauna helped us to decompress! There is a bbq to cook on and everything inside is spotless and pristine. It's a great place to visit for a girls trip or to reconnect with your partner! I can't wait to go back.

Cant say enough great things about our stay this weekend. The property was very clean, it says a lot when an outdoor kitchen is more clean than most indoor kitchens. It was a cold night so it was nice to have an awesome fire pit and the room for sleeping stayed warm throughout the night. Excellent communication from the host throughout the whole process. Will definitely be back here and have already recommended to several friends. Thanks!!
