Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. Access in the winter can be limited.
