The room was just as described and very comfortable for our three night stay. We loved the self service continental breakfast setup in the downstairs dining room. There was a wide choice to suit all tastes; fruits, cereals, toast, croissants, cheese, meats, tea and coffee, which Yuliya left out for any time of the morning! The microwave and coffee maker were available and we were able to sit happily in the evening in the dining room and eat a Takeaway. There are no shortage of takeaway restaurants close-by and the shops are all within easy reach. Newburgh Seal beach is a 20 minute drive and was our highlight! We had never seen hundreds of seals basking on the sand before.

Steven was really really nice, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was yummy.

All really pleasant stay. Breakfast were superb. Genny is a very good host. there was one bit, but it was our fault, we didn't realise how thick and warm the duvey was, it was a bit too warm for our liking, but we never asked her to get something less warm as it was late when we got back from our meal, so I can't fault my stay based on that. Breakfast definitely won me over!!!

We can’t say enough positive things about Dunnottar Lodge. After a long day on the road, we arrived much later then we thought- Karen was flexible and kind in helping us find the place in the dark and welcomed us with great warmth. As soon as we arrived we were sad that we hadn’t booked a longer stay here. This place is a true oasis. The room we stayed in was out of a Scottish holiday dream- so well decorated, colorful, and extremely cozy. Everything at Dunnottar lodge has the air of abundance. The pillows are extra fluffy, the bed super comfy, the bathroom is well stocked with products, the tea selection is amazing (upwards of 20 teas to choose from), and the breakfast Karen served is overflowing with delicious offerings (things like home made bread, huge selection of preserves, eggs cooked just right). Another big advantage to this place is you have access to a super cozy sitting room with a fire, their beautiful garden, and the kitchen. It’s truly a dream! We will be going back!

Really enjoyed the long weekend break, there are so many great walks within easy driving distance. Nicky was very approachable and helpful, a great host. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and also well decorated. Definitely recommended.

Luxury B&B in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Comfortable bedroom and lovely sitting room with log burner. The bath is wonderful and excellent breakfast enjoyed with a view of the garden and countryside.

Disblair House genuinely exceeded my expectations, and I have high expectations! The hosts are remarkably warm, friendly and professional. The house is quirky, fun and most welcoming and their breakfast is amazingly varied and good. Should we ever be in the area again my wife and I hope they will host us.

Thornton Castle is simply one of the most magical places we have ever visited. We literally stayed in the tower of a medieval castle, which has belonged to the family for generations. Griselda is the most charming host imaginable. She took us to the ramparts to view the beautiful gardens and grounds and made us a sumptuous breakfast. Google Maps took us down country lanes, right to the house. The countryside around is beautiful and Thornton is a perfect place to visit the seashore and the many historic monuments in the area.
